Questions

Is the casual loading added on top of Saturday rates?
No. The casual Saturday rate (150%) already includes it. Only the highest rate is paid for each hour.
When do the evening allowances apply?
For hours worked Monday to Friday: $2.95 an hour from 7 pm to midnight and $4.42 from midnight to 7 am, on top of the day’s rate. They don’t apply on public holidays.
Is overtime included?
No, this calculator covers ordinary hours. Overtime starts after 38 hours a week, or after 12 hours in a day for casuals (11.5 for others). Monday to Friday it’s 150% for the first 2 hours, then 200%; 200% on weekends and 250% on public holidays. The casual loading isn’t added to overtime.
